SYPALA Mission
SYPALA is one of IMANI-AfricanLiberty.org’s many channels to stimulate public discussion of the promotion of economic prosperity rights, the rule of law, open and unconditional trade, free speech, and decentralization of power and resources.
CEOs, Army Generals, Financiers, Senior Technocrats, and Academic Deans and Dons, high-ranking Government leaders and visionaries of all shades and hues - give freely of their time and wisdom to nurture these incredibly gifted emerging leaders in the ways of success, sobriety, and significance. Essentially they enkindle in these bright young minds a strong desire to become champions of liberty, proponents of the prosperity borne by strong markets and human rights, and principled advocates for the rule of law and institutional growth here in Ghana and farther afield.
The mode of instruction ranges from the contemplative to the action-oriented, and take the forms of roundtables, lectures, tutorials and seminars, in subject-matters ranging from political economy to business strategy, and from leadership to economic governance. The African condition is usually dissected; yardsticks for civil engagement are debated; the principles of economics are reassessed and frequently overthrown in debate, but above all, the students and young professionals come out intellectually fired up to take action. One beneficiary of these programs wrote: "you have fertilized my mind; all my life I will bear fresh seeds of liberty".
